ImPorts might be thinking it's the end of the world as they know it, but FanPop, the organizers of a certain massively popular imPort convention, feel fine. THat's right folks, it's time once again for for the one, the only

FANPORT

2019

Celebrating it's 5th year in operation on June 14th through June 16th in sunny Heropa, FanPort promises to be bigger and better than before, with many attractions including:

PANELS
Does your character have a hobby? Passion? Something they want to get off their chest surrounded by a crowd? Here's their chance! FanPort organizers have sent out emails to all imPorts asking them to create or host a panel of their choice. Nothing is off limits! Host a Game Show, perform a concert, throw shade at an enemy, promote something, just talk about themselves for an hour. The stage is theirs.

Sign up here, spaces are going fast! (spoilers: there are as many spaces as people want)

NPC-run panels, or panels where where others can volunteer their characters as hosts/co-hosts are also welcome!


Exhibition Hall
If your character has a business, organization, or brand, FanPort organizers have offered them vendor space at a deeply discounted rate. Sell merch from your tv show, set up a food stand, offer the imPort-friendly public information on your group, or just set up a booth offering photographs, autographs (or maybe even kisses) to your adoring public (for a price).

All they have to do is sign up. Official FanPort Sponsors wanted.

NPC booths can also be created; they can be found selling items like wigs and ready-made imPort costumes, and companies will be offering their (off-brand, to avoid lawsuits) imPort-themed books, comics, and more.


Artist Alley
Everyone's favorite area is back and bigger than ever! Unauthorized imPort mechandise can be found as far as the eye can see. Anything you can imagine is there, from the ever-popular doujinshi of any imPort pairing you can imagine to replica jewelry to plushies and mugs to even body pillows. Hope your character isn't easily scandalized... or in the market for some prime blackmail material.

Any imPorts looking to get a table in artist's alley will gladly be supplied one by the organizers, and OOC sign ups for table space isn't necessary (though feel free to comment below what your character might offer!)


Speed Dating
Because there's no way this can go wrong! 5 minutes is all you get to try to find your love connection among other FanPort congoers. Organizers promise you won't be held captive in a crazy ai-run house for 48 hours and are free to go about your day when the event is over (or even earlier if you so choose!).

Memorial
Inspired by the Ted Kord Memorial Centre run by Jaime Reyes, organizers at his year's FanPort have created a private space honoring many of the imPorts that have been ported out over the years. It's a place for remembrance and reflection, with photos and exhibits adorning the space.


And More!

Cosplay Contest - It's a con. There will be costumes, and lots of them, and prizes will be awarded to the best! ImPorts welcome to join, so long as they don't dress as themselves.

Rave - A staple of any convention, there will be a rave on both Friday and Sunday nights. ImPorts who wish to DJ can sign up here (or just crash the stage).

Volleyball Tournament - ImPorts Apollo and Poe Dameron really want to start a volleyball league. Sign-ups for interested participants will be held all weekend, with a tournament (that won't end in leveling the place) will be held on Sunday. Interested parties can sign up here.


Considering this is the fifth year of FanPort, organizers want to do something special to celebrate, and give back to the community that's been so supportive. They've got huge plans in mind, but you'll have to wait and see what they are.

This year's FanPort, like FanPort's in years past, will be a light, (mostly) drama-free zone where imPorts can just relax, recharge, and enjoy(?) being around people that genuinely love them for them, no matter who they might be.
